Their calm character and respectful interactions slowly attracted his attention

During one of iERA Tanzania’s dawah journeys, a team of Islamic callers visited a village known as IGOMBE with the purpose of conveying the message of Islam to the local community. They moved from house to house, engaging residents with kindness, respect, and wisdom as they shared the teachings of Islam in a gentle and approachable manner.

Among the villagers was a young man who initially observed the team from a distance as they spoke with people around the village. Their calm character and respectful interactions slowly attracted his attention, and he became increasingly curious about the message they were presenting. He continued watching them, silently reflecting on what they were conveying.

After some time, he decided to approach them and began asking questions about Islam. His main questions were about the worship of one God and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. The dawah team responded patiently and clearly, explaining the core beliefs of Islam in a way that was easy to understand, while emphasizing its message of peace, mercy, and devotion to Allah.

To further clarify the message, they recited selected verses from the Qur’an. The recitation had a deep emotional impact on him, as the words touched his heart and brought him a sense of peace and certainty. He listened attentively, feeling his understanding and conviction grow stronger with every explanation.

By the end of the encounter, he sincerely expressed his desire to learn more about Islam. After receiving further guidance, he made the heartfelt decision to embrace the faith by declaring the shahada. From that moment, he began a new chapter in his life, filled with commitment, curiosity, and a strong desire to grow in his understanding and practice of Islam.
