The past two weeks have been filled with meaningful dawah activities and educational initiatives across New Zealand, reflecting a continued commitment to sharing the message of Islam and supporting those beginning their journey of faith.
During this period, volunteers shared the message of Islam with more than 100 people through personal conversations and public outreach. By the mercy of Allah, four individuals embraced Islam and took their shahadah, beginning a new chapter in their lives as Muslims.
Supporting new Muslims remained a key focus of the team’s efforts. Four new Muslims received ongoing assistance, while another participant continued benefiting from a dedicated mentorship program designed to help strengthen their understanding of Islam and build confidence in practicing their faith.

Education and community development also featured prominently throughout the fortnight. Four Islam 101 classes were held, providing newcomers and those interested in Islam with a welcoming environment to learn about the foundations of the faith. In addition, a dawah training session equipped volunteers with practical skills for sharing Islam effectively, while a public speaking program helped participants develop confidence in communicating the message with clarity and wisdom.
The team also held three stakeholder meetings to strengthen collaboration and support the continued growth of dawah initiatives across the community.
A particularly special milestone during this period was the completion of a 14-month study of the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. After more than a year of learning and reflection, participants concluded this remarkable journey through the life, character, and mission of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, celebrating the knowledge gained and the inspiration it continues to provide.
May Allah accept the efforts of everyone involved, bless those who embraced Islam, and continue to make these initiatives a means of guidance for many more people. Ameen.
