iERA and District Leaders Celebrate New Muslim Scholars

In a vibrant effort to test, encourage, and celebrate the growth of recent converts to Islam, iERA duat (Islamic propagators), in collaboration with district leadership, organized a knowledge competition designed to inspire continuous learning and spiritual empowerment among new Muslims.

The event brought together new converts who showcased their understanding of Islamic fundamentals, demonstrating their progress in reciting the Holy Qur’an and explaining the essential principles of Salah (prayer). The competition saw active participation, including over eight women, with two emerging among the top performers alongside the winning male participant.

Local leadership voiced strong appreciation for the initiative. Muslim leaders from the district and county levels commended iERA for its dedicated missionary work, noting that spreading Dawah is a challenging task. They highlighted that iERA’s efforts significantly support local leaders in expanding and nurturing the Muslim community, pledging ongoing cooperation with the duat to ensure future outreach prospers.

Sheikh Bashir Sensuku, the District Kadhi, applauded iERA for bringing structured Dawah to the region and promised continued support. Addressing the participants directly, he commended the new Muslims for their courage and urged them to remain committed to their spiritual journey, emphasizing that seeking knowledge is a core pillar of Islam.

Brother Yahya Kironde, iERA Operations Officer, expressed gratitude to the district leadership for their vital support in making the competition a success. Reinforcing the organization’s mission, he encouraged the new Muslims to stay dedicated to learning their faith, stating that iERA remains deeply committed to empowering new converts spiritually and providing them with the guidance needed to thrive.
