As iERA du’at actively mobilized community members for an upcoming Mega Mass Dawah event, they encountered a man named Waswa Muhammad. Though born into a Muslim family, Muhammad’s upbringing was intertwined with a darker heritage: his family also actively practiced witchcraft. When his father passed away, Muhammad inherited both the family lineage and the burden of these occult practices.
Carrying his father’s legacy weighed heavily on his conscience. Seeking clarity, Muhammad approached local Muslim leaders and Imams with a sincere question: *How could he practice Islam while simultaneously holding onto his inherited witchcraft?* The Imams gave him a clear and direct answer—he had to abandon witchcraft entirely and devote himself exclusively to the worship of the One True God, Almighty Allah.

While the Imams’ counsel was clear, Muhammad was left at a loss on *how* to practically break free from the dark practices that had governed his family for generations.
The turning point came when he met the iERA daees during their community outreach. Taking the time to sit with him, the daees patiently explained the beauty, peace, and simplicity of believing in One God (*Tawhid*). They didn’t just tell him to stop; they gave him a practical path forward, encouraging him to turn to the Quran as a source of protection, healing, and guidance.
Moved by their compassionate approach, Muhammad took his first resolute steps toward true faith. He began performing his daily prayers (*Salah*) and turned to the recitation of the Quran. Today, Muhammad is actively in the process of dismantling the lingering remnants of witchcraft from his life, trading darkness for the light and ultimate peace of worshiping One God.
