THE TENT MASJID

After three months of a successful dawah mission in this village in Tanzania, our team was faced with a major challenge, and that was to secure a place of worship for the new Muslims to pray and study.

The duat had also realised that some members of the community were hesitant to accept Islam due to the lack of such a place.

As they brainstormed about this, one of the new reverts willingly donated his piece of land for the construction of the first masjid in the village! It was then agreed that they build a mud brick masjid, but in the meantime set up a temporary tent structure to accommodate the congregation prayers and Islamic lessons.

Using canvas, and wooden sticks, the new Muslim community and iERA duat set up a tent Masjid. May Allah accept this from all of us and enable the community to have a bigger and better place of worship.
