The man in the picture is called Charles. He recently became Muslim but was not confident to share this with his wife as he knew to hate Muslims a lot. When iERA organised a dawah session in the village masjids and asked the Muslims to bring along their family and friends, he hoped this would be an opportunity for her to learn about Islam and Muslims.
“Let’s go and hear what these Muslims want to tell the villagers,” he casually proposed to her. His wife agreed and they both attended the talk.
The duat gave a dawah presentation using the GORAP method where they explained to the villagers the existence of God, His oneness, the final revelation and prophethood. The villagers seemed to enjoy the talk.
When it was time for Q and A, the first hand that went up was that of Charles’s wife. She said that she had accepted what they had told them but was in a dilemma to accept Islam because she didn’t know how her husband would react!
To her surprise, the whole masjid burst into laughter! Wondering what was going on, the lady next to her told her that her husband was already a Muslim! It was a beautiful site to see as she took her Shahadah and the two of them walked back home, happily as believers!
