Alex Banda, a humble street vendor in Lusaka, Zambia, lived a life of struggle. He sold goods on the streets to make ends meet, but felt empty inside.
That was until he met the iERA da’wah team found him at his usual location on the world dawah day under the theme: “Is Life Just a Game?”
The team asked him, “If life is a game, what’s the purpose? What’s the winning strategy?” Alex thought deeply. He realized that his life was a constant struggle, like a game he couldn’t win.
One of the da’wah team members shared a powerful message: “Life is not just a game, but a test from Allah. The goal is to live a life of purpose, following His guidance, and achieving eternal peace.”
Alex was touched by Brother Ahmed’s words. He realized then that his struggles were not just random events, but opportunities to grow and return to Allah.
The iERA team shared with him the story of Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) compassion and kindness and struggle he went through. Alex was inspired by the Prophet’s example.
Alex embraced Islam. He felt a sense of peace and purpose he had never known before.
Alex’s life transformed, reflecting his newfound faith. He continued to sell goods on the streets, but now with a sense of dignity and purpose.
The iERA team’s efforts had helped Alex find serenity in the midst of struggle. His story inspired others to seek their own purpose and peace in life.
Alex’s journey show that true peace comes not from material success, but from living a life that pleases Allah.
