A young woman accepted Islam at the hands of an iERA da’ee based on a small act of charity offered to her at the bank of a river.
Abdul Wahid was crossing the river along side the woman and decided to assist her by carrying her bicycle to cross the river.
Abdul Wahid took the decision to help her after realizing she was finding it difficult to get on the other side of the river.
The woman was pleased that the da’ee assisted her and therefore thought it wise to offer him some money for his good work done.
When Abdul Wahid turned down the money, the woman was really shocked because she perceived that the da’ee offered to help her to get some financial gain.
According to her, she always paid when the help of this nature was offered her.
That was when Abdul Wahid said something that changed her paradigm for the best. He said ‘I am a Muslim’.
The woman was astonished when Abdul Wahid took the opportunity to convey the message of Islam to her.
Interesting enough, she had longed for the truth about the existence of God, and now she felt she had found spiritual enlightenment.
With joy and tears of sorrow for missing this opportunity for so long, she declared the shahadah and wept as she embraced Islam.
The woman also declared that she would now make significant efforts to study her Islamic faith and encourage her entire family to embrace this religion.
This marked the beginning of her spiritual journey, and her heart was filled with hope and gratitude for finding the light she had longed for.
This story is an indication that whatever good you may consider insignificant may go a long way to create a great impact on people.
The words that come out of our mouths can make and unmake people.
