The iERA Team in Tanzania found themselves in the busy streets of Mbeya when a young man approached them in his quest to get information of what the team was doing.
Initially hen he saw the team, he thought it was a business promotion the Duat were championing however it turned out to be what was far better than a business promotion.
H e managed to get his hands on one of the fliers the team were distributing while inviting people to the stand where they had pitched their tent.
After reading what was on the flyer, he was surprised to see Muslims on the street trying to propagate the message of Islam as he had initially thought it was only the Seventh-day Adventist denomination of Christianity that used this method to invite people to their faith.
He had questions and the Duat took time out to explain to him the content of the flyer he had laid hands on as well as describing to him the tenets and the core message of Islam.
He listened attentively as the Duat broke down in simple terms what it meant to be a Muslim using reason and certainty.
He was particularly impressed by the unity of the Muslims and the wise, well-reasoned arguments used in spreading the faith. The thoughtful responses he received made him more receptive and interested in Islam.
Moved by this new understanding, the young man expressed a strong desire to learn more. He was delighted by the unity among Muslims and the wisdom in their approach.
This newfound interest led him to embrace Islam, and he decided to take his Shahada. He also committed to further studying the religion to deepen his knowledge.
