In the northern highland villages of Tanzania, a young businessman has been anting to accept Islam due to the perceptions he carried about the religion.
He met the iERA Duat in his community propagating the religion and he decided it was the perfect time to embrace the faith so he can have access to the information and the fulfilment of his desires.
Prior to meeting the team, he had heard about Islam that the believers were wealthy people, they were protected by spirits (jinns) and were very successful in what ever they do.
When he embraced the faith, he opened up to the Duat about his reason for reverting to the faith and that he needed access to what he had heard about the faith.
He expressed a desire for three spirits: one for protection, another to assist in his business, and the last to bring him wealth.
The Duat taught him about true faith, helping him move away from superstitious beliefs.
Through their discussions, he began to understand the essence of Islam and ultimately made a firm commitment to live by Islamic principles and aiming to distance him from superstitions.
The team continued to support him in moving away from superstitious beliefs, and ultimately, and he has developed a clear understanding, committing himself wholeheartedly to the principles of Islam.
