In a small village in Uganda, Mariam a pig farmer encountered a life-changing transformation when she received Islamic preachers. While visiting her hometown in Rwanda where she was born and grew up before she migrated to Uganda, she discovered that her children had been introduced to Islam by dedicated da’wah preachers. Intrigued, she awaited their return.
The preachers revisited, eager to share Islam’s message with her. She posed a challenge: “How can I abandon pork, my livelihood?” They offered alternatives. “Rear sheep or goats, and leave the my pigs behind ?.” Initially hesitant, she requested time to ponder.
The next day, conviction struck. When she welcomed the preachers back and, With their guidance, she took her shahada With all her children and began a new life in Islam. Daily visits nurtured her new faith, helping her grow stronger. iERA Uganda selfless duats guided her through the process, ensuring a smooth spiritual journey.
