The iERA Duat in Tanzania encountered a man from the Sukuma tribe who belonged to a the family of devout Christians.
Throughout his life, he had had a hanker for the message of Islam and was always willing to learn more about the faith.
He had visited Shiyanga, a city in the northern part of the country and met a group of Muslims who gave him literature leaflets on Islam which were very beneficial to him.
Upon seeing the leaflets, his parents burnt them and scolded him for trying to learn about Islam.
He was however unperturbed by the actions of his parents.
When he met the Duat in his community, he was very astonished and began to learn about Islam again.
The team began discussing the Creator and religion, as they got to know each other, the Duat continued to invite him to explore Islam.
When the team reached out to him again, he expressed his gratitude for meeting his brothers in faith.
He committed to studying Islam and declared his intention to revert, despite his family’s objections. He resolved to become a Muslim, stating that he was now a mature individual.
With sincerity in his heart, he recited the shahada, and the Duat prayed for him, asking Allah to protect him in his new faith.
