Three older embraced Islam after spending time at the New Muslims class to observe for themselves what Islam really meant practically.
One faithful day on Friday, the team had finished performing the Jummah prayers when the three ladies, Akello Zubaida, Angom Maryam and Luo Farida approached the iERA team with the intention of embracing Islam.
The Duat spent time trying to understand why the ladies wanted to embrace the faith after attending the class.
According to them, they were impressed by the generosity of the brotherhood in Islam and how there is no discrimination in their while distributing anything to the people.
According to them, they see how even the non Muslims at the gathering get the same share as the Muslims when there ever was time for food to be distributed to those present at the event.
These are the little things that planted the seed of faith in their hearts and minds.
Islamic teachings, as emphasized in the Quran and Hadith, place immense importance on giving and sharing with others, especially those in need.
The generous spirit demonstrated by the Muslims in the Village is a reflection of several key aspects of Islamic generosity including Zakat and Sadaqah.
On this day, after Jumah prayers, the community’s generosity once again shone brightly. The hijabs worn by the new sisters in faith were mobilized from local stakeholders, symbolizing their new beginnings and commitment to their faith.
The transformation of Akello, Angom, and Luo is a testament to the power of faith and the profound impact of generosity. As they embrace Islam, they join a community that values selfless giving and unwavering support, creating a beautiful tapestry of faith and unity.
Together, they embark on a journey enriched by faith, guided by the principles of generosity and brotherhood.
