Hajjat Fatima, a 77 year old woman has found the light back to Islam after losing for a very long time due to the reality of life.
In her own words, she admitted to the iERA Duat , who had visited the hospital to visit patients as part of the Prophetic Mission.
She had a nostalgic feeling when she heard the Duat praying and told them that she had been a Muslim in the past but became an Anglican Christian when she returned to her village after the death of her Muslim husband.
She said that when she returned to the village, the was no Islamic life over there and that was what impeded her spiritual growth, and to top it up, she fell critically ill and was taken care of by the Anglican church.
She was told by her family that the Church had baptized her when she fell unconscious and therefore she should focus on the Christianity and forget her faith in Islam. This abrupt change led her away from the faith she once cherished.
Like a bird that never forgets its nest, when Fatima heard her grandchildren in the faith of Islam doing the work of Islam, she was attracted and pulled towards her past faith as if she was drawn by a magnet.
The Duat listened attentively and reminded her of the beauty and truth of Islam, the faith she had once embraced.
Inspired by their words, Fatima found the strength to renounce Anglicanism and return to Islam. She revealed to the team that she had kept her hijabs all these years, hidden away in a wardrobe, a silent testament to her enduring connection to her faith.
With a renewed sense of purpose, Fatima assured the Duat that she would never again turn away from Islam, despite any challenges that may come her way. Her unwavering commitment touched the hearts of everyone present.
