Sometimes, Allah places friends in our lives who become guides toward the truth. This was the case with María, who was friends with Khadiya in high school. During those years, Khadiya would talk to her about Islam and help nurture her love for Allah.
Years later, after they had gone their separate ways, María returned to the city where they had first met. She was a practicing Mormon, and once again, Khadiya explained the central message of Tawheed and the important role of the Prophets. She helped María understand the difference between true and false prophets and the status of Jesus in Islam.
In this way, the truth of Islam became clear to her, leading her to declare her Shahada.
