Eventually, we had the opportunity to visit Carlos in person. What followed was a long, heartfelt conversation—not just about the beliefs of Islam, but about life, purpose, and the nature of God.
That day, surrounded by the tranquility that only truth can bring, Carlos embraced Islam, uttering the shahadah with tears in his eyes and peace in his heart.

Now a Muslim, Carlos describes Islam as “the guidance that comes directly from God.” He feels a renewed sense of purpose and a deep connection to his Creator. Every day, he aspires to learn more, to implement what he’s learning, and to be a reflection of the faith that brought light into his life.
His journey is a powerful reminder of Allah’s words in the Qur’an:
“And whoever seeks guidance—Allah will guide his heart.”
(Surah At-Taghabun, 64:11)
