AFCON 2024: Our trip to Yamoussoukro for the Cameroonian- Guinea Open Game

On the 15th January, iERA Ghana visited the Political capital of Ivory Coast to take advantage of the game and continue with the Prophetic mission.

Considering how long the journey was, the team left Abdjan, which is the economic capital and kept traveling for 4 hours before reaching Yamoussoukro at the central part of the country.

Our volunteers were already waiting for our arrival and we as usual had to be fast with the activities.

We introduced ourselves and our mission as representatives of iERA to them and began with the training.

We further explained the GORAP method to them and the young and vibrant volunteers picked up quickly.

The team was composed of three ladies who were very motivated as well as four gentlemen bringing the number of volunteers to seven.

We joined them in the dawah and our number was ten. It was a long day and the people over there were not very receptive.

They were a bit rough and not welcoming of strangers.

However, we managed to do a good job by distributing the ‘What’s your goal’ card and explained to those who took a keen interest in what we were doing.

We managed to interact with about three hundred and fifty people.

We ended our campaign at 6pm and went to the grand mosque of Yamoussoukro to perform Maghrib and set off the same night back to Abidjan.

We arrived in Abidjan safely at around 1 am.

It was another successful campaign with no Shahadah.
