Mukarurangwa Fatuma was born in 1953, a vibrant woman with an infectious spirit. She is among the first people to embrace Islam in June 2022, shortly after iERA Dawah Activities started in Rwanda, she became one of the first to accept the faith in her community. From that moment, her life was dedicated to sharing the beauty of Islam with those around her.Fatuma had a unique way of drawing people in. Every day, she would pass by her neighbors, inviting them to the New Muslim Class.
Her heart was filled with devotion. Rather than feeling discouraged, she spent hours at the masjid, participating in congregational prayers, finding solace and connection in the community.Her commitment to Dawah was inspiring. Many neighbors, intrigued by her passion, began attending the classes. Among them was her sister, who, influenced by Fatuma’s unwavering dedication, embraced Islam alongside her family members.ragically, last week.
Fatuma’s life was cut short in a bicycle accident. The news shocked the community, leaving a void that could never be filled. Her sister, along with her classmates from the New Muslim Class, mourned deeply for the loss of a woman who had not only shared the message of Islam but had also shown them the beauty of sisterhood and faith.May Allah grant her the highest rewards, forgive her shortcomings, and provide her peace and light in her grave. Her spirit of kindness and commitment to sharing Islam would continue to inspire others, reminding everyone that faith is not just a personal journey, but a communal bond that strengthens through love and connection. May she rest in peace, her impact echoing through the lives she changed forever.
