In the heart of Phalombe District, under Traditional Authority Namasoko, lies the peaceful village of Konkhwa, led by a man whose life has taken a remarkable spiritual turn — Chief Wilison Phimpa, now proudly known as a new Muslim.
Chief Wilison Phimpa, aged 48, was born and raised in a large family of seven children — one boy and six girls. Coming from a humble background under T/A Nyezelera, he grew up surrounded by strong cultural and Christian traditions. From childhood, his entire family followed the Christian Love Church, where they prayed and worshipped faithfully.
For many years, Chief Phimpa was known as a respected man — not only as a traditional leader but also as someone who upheld family values and unity. Life went on peacefully, and the chief continued to serve his people with integrity.
But in 2023, something remarkable happened — an encounter that changed his life forever.

During that year, while he was 46 years old, a group of young da’wah brothers visited Konkhwa Village to share the message of Islam. Out of curiosity, Chief Phimpa joined the gathering to listen. What began as a simple conversation became a moment of deep reflection and awakening.
As he listened to the speakers explaining the Oneness of Allah, the continuity of Islam since the time of Adam (AS) until Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the eternal nature of the true religion of God, something struck him deeply.
He realized that truth cannot fade away. A true religion should never die — yet he remembered how the church he used to attend, Christian Love Church, had collapsed completely after the death of its founder. The entire group scattered, and the religion disappeared.
This made him question everything. “How can a religion end if it is truly from God?” he asked himself.
That question lingered in his heart, and the more he reflected, the clearer the truth became. Islam, unlike other faiths, was unbroken — from Prophet to Prophet, from generation to generation, preserved perfectly by Allah Himself.
With that understanding, Chief Wilison Phimpa embraced Islam — together with his children. Later, even his parents followed his path and accepted the truth of Islam.
Today, Chief Phimpa stands not only as a leader of his people but also as a leader in faith. He uses his position to promote understanding, peace, and unity in his village, encouraging others to seek truth with an open heart.
His story reminds everyone that guidance is in the hands of Allah, and when He wills good for someone, He opens their heart to the truth.
“Whomever Allah guides – none can mislead.” (Qur’an 39:37)
Alhamdulillah, may Allah keep Chief Wilison Phimpa and his family steadfast in Islam, and may his leadership become a source of light and guidance for his entire community.
