In September 2024, iERA Africa hosted a cross country trip for Duat across the continent for the first time in the history of the organization.
The countries that took part of the trip which was hosted by iERA Malawi included Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.
Upon their arrival in Malawi, the guests were warmly welcomed by the iERA Malawi team in Lilongwe, the country’s capital and largest city, before making their way to Blantyre also a city in the Shire highlands.
In Blantyre, the team members were introduced to the office staff and briefed on their duties and responsibilities. Programmers explained the iERA reporting system, and district heads and coordinators outlined the process of starting and ending the one-month New Muslim programs.
In the days that followed, the guests were divided into two groups, with one group visiting Mulanje district which lies in the Southern region of Malawi and the other group remained in Blantyre.
They visited numerous villages, participated in events such as Dawah days 1, 2, and 3, and the Mega Mass Dawah, offering their insights and recommendations where necessary.
On the Super Dawah day, the guests showcased their dawah techniques, resulting in numerous individuals reverting to Islam.
The guests also had the privilege of meeting with Ustadh Adnan Rashid the iERA global manager, who emphasized the importance of continuing the dawah efforts to guide people away from hellfire.
Additionally, the guests attended a Mega Mass Dawah conducted by Ustadh Adnan in Blantyre, leading to over 200 individuals embracing Islam.
At the event of the mega mass dawah, the iERA Africa Head, Mudassir, reiterated the purpose of the Cross Country trip, encouraging the participants to implement best practices identified during their journey for the advancement of dawah, and wished them a safe journey back home.
As their trip drew to a close, the brothers enjoyed a day at Thuchila lodge with the iERA office team, district heads, and coordinators, engaging in activities such as a braai, a barbeque, swimming, and games.
