“And We have sent you only as a mercy for the worlds” (Qur’an 21:107).
The message of Islam is one of mercy, guidance, and hope for all of humanity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself affirmed, “I was sent as a mercy and not as a punishment,” as reported by Abû Hurayra in the collections of al-Dâramî and Bukhari. This universal message continues to inspire and transform lives, as seen in the story of Celestin, a young man whose path to Islam was marked by a simple yet profound encounter.
Celestin, a 23-year-old from the countryside, arrived in the city in search of work. With no prior exposure to Islam in his hometown, he took up work as a bicycle taxi operator to support himself. For Celestin, life in the city was full of challenges but also opportunities he had never imagined.

One day, during our daily dawah outreach, we met Celestin on the street. It was clear he had never heard of Islam before. The message of the faith, rooted in mercy and submission to Allah, was entirely new to him. As we shared the basics of Islam, Celestin listened intently, his curiosity and interest growing with every word.
To our delight, Celestin was deeply moved by the teachings and principles of Islam. He expressed an immediate willingness to embrace the faith, seeing it as a source of guidance and peace. His openness and eagerness to learn were truly inspiring.
Celestin’s story is a powerful reminder that the message of Islam is for everyone, regardless of background or circumstances. It highlights the importance of dawah in spreading the light of Islam and reaching hearts that are ready to receive it.
May Allah guide Celestin and strengthen his journey in faith, and may He enable us all to be bearers of His message of mercy to the world.
