Reclaiming the True Legacy of Prophet Issa.

While much of the world was hushed in holiday tradition, a vibrant energy filled the air in the iERA New Muslim Support classes on Christmas Day. Rather than observing the day in silence,Duats (callers to faith) took to the field with a powerful mission: to reintroduce the new Muslim community to the true, historical, and Quranic character of Prophet Issa (Jesus), peace be upon him.

The sessions were far from standard lectures. The Duats painted a vivid picture of Issa (AS) not just as a figure of history, but as a model of devotion whose lifestyle is mirrored in the daily practices of Muslims today.

The attendees watched with rapt attention as the speakers detailed the physical acts of worship performed by Jesus.

The atmosphere was further enriched when the District Head, Brother Yahya, stepped in to facilitate the discussion. With a blend of wisdom and warmth, he helped the new Muslims connect the dots between the biblical accounts of Jesus’s life and the preserved traditions of Islam.

“Islam does not claim to be a new religion,” Brother Yahya explained. “It is the completion and the preservation of the very path walked by Issa (AS). When we pray, when we wash, and when we bow, we are emulating the sincere worship of the Messiah himself.”

The highlight of the day was an interactive educational play. To ensure the lessons weren’t just heard but felt, the Duats invited class members to join them in live demonstrations. Together, they reenacted scenes of the Prophet Issa’s life, focusing on his humility, his miracles by the permission of God, and his unwavering tawheed (monotheism).

The place was filled with smiles and “Alhamdulillahs” as the new Muslims saw their own chosen faith reflected in the life of one of God’s greatest messengers. For many, it was a “lightbulb moment”—realizing that by becoming Muslim, they hadn’t left Jesus behind; they had finally found the most authentic way to follow his example.
