Bibi, an old woman in her 80s is used to the idea of fetching her own water and carrying it home all by herself.
The youth in her village were already familiar with Bibi’s behavior of wanting to do things all by herself without help.
However, on one faithful day, things took a different turn as she had an encounter with some young men who were new in her locality.
She had gone to fetch water as she usually does and met a group of young men who insisted on carrying the water for her and aiding her. She declined as she usually does, thinking they had a different motive for helping her out.
When they got to her house, the Duat properly introduced themselves to her and told her about their mission in the village.
She took a keen interest as the Duat took her through the GORAP methodology and at the end of the conversation, Bibi was already attracted to the message of Islam.
She embraced Islam there and then and promised to visit the mosque on Friday for the congregational prayers.
She fulfilled her promise and made it the mosque on the Friday.
Joyfully, Duat had the opportunity to visit Bibi and support her in various ways.
This event was truly a manifestation of compassion, love, and solidarity, demonstrating how Islam can bring significant changes to people’s lives.
We pray that Allah grants the elderly woman a good end and blesses the youth for their noble efforts.
