Strengthening bonds: iERA Uganda’s historic mega retreat.

This historic gathering brought together Duat, coordinators, district heads, and the office team in an inspiring celebration of unity, purpose, and shared dedication to the mission of Da’wah.

As the attendees arrived, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation.

Brother Muhammad, the iERA Uganda country manager, opened the retreat with a powerful address.

He said, “Brothers and sisters, as we serve Allah, let us remain steadfast and sincere, the whispers of Satan are ever-present, but our focus must stay on the divine mission of Da’wah.

Our true rewards come only from Allah.” His heartfelt words reminded everyone of the importance of sincerity and faith in their work.

Following him, Brother Yusuf, the education officer, emphasized responsibility in their mission.

“Let us be cautious and intentional in implementing the new curriculum for the New Muslim Support Classes, done carelessly, it could compromise our noble cause.”

Brother Yahya, a district head, encouraged innovation in teaching, saying, “Let’s make our classes engaging and inspiring for new Muslims. Creativity and dedication are essential in nurturing their faith.”

His message was a call to action, urging the team to go beyond teaching and focus on uplifting and motivating their students.

The retreat wasn’t all serious reflection—it was also filled with joy and bonding activities.

Games like tug-of-war, quizzes on Prophetic teachings, and football matches brought laughter and strengthened the team’s sense of brotherhood.

These moments of friendships reinforced the unity that underpins their mission.

Brother Abdurahman, the operations officer, expressed gratitude and pride in the team’s efforts.

“Your dedication throughout 2024 has been exceptional, the Prophetic mission we uphold is thriving because of you. Let’s continue with the same passion and commitment.”

As the retreat progressed, important strategic decisions were made.

The operations team, alongside the education officer, restructured the field outreach specialists and coordinators to improve efficiency and impact in the coming year.

The Mega Retreat was not just a milestone; it was a turning point—a moment of reflection, celebration, and preparation for the road ahead.
