A milestone has been marked for iERA Uganda as over 30 imams participated in a transformative one-day training on GORAP (God’s Existence, Oneness, Revelation, and Prophecy).
The session, led by the iERA Uganda Education Officer with support from district heads, was designed to empower Imams with practical knowledge and tools to enhance their da’wah efforts.
The training emphasized a compassionate and understanding approach to da’wah.
The Education Officer encouraged the imams to avoid confrontations and instead focus on fostering unity and respect. He highlighted the importance of showcasing God’s oneness and existence as the foundation of all creation, creating a message that resonates deeply with people.
During the session, Brother Yahya, a district head, addressed a pressing issue: the lack of collaboration among some Muslims during da’wah. He urged the community to work in harmony, reminding them that unity is key to achieving success in their mission. His message was a heartfelt call for solidarity in spreading Islam’s message.
Adding to the insights, Brother Kasim, another district head, shared actionable strategies to help imams engage more effectively in their roles. His practical tips were met with enthusiasm as the attendees gained valuable ideas to implement in their local communities.
The day concluded with the imams being awarded certificates, a recognition of their dedication and commitment to spreading the message of Islam. The event left the participants motivated and equipped to take their efforts to new heights.
