18 years old Ibrahim, a pork butcher has gotten his life completely turned around for the very best after meeting the iERA Duat in Uganda.
Before embracing Islam, he had been searching for a job in the streets for a while before finding himself in the pork butcher’s shop, working as an apprentice.
On his way to work on a regular day, he encountered the iERA Duat engaging an audience with the Prophetic message and inviting them to Islam.
He stood there eagerly listening to the message ready to throw questions at them, knowing deeply in his heart, that his Catholic faith and beliefs were the very best without any doubt in his heart.
He believed strongly that Islam was invented religion.
However, as he listened to the Duat speak about the oneness of God and the prophethood of Muhammad, something began to stir within him.
The Duat answered all of his challenging questions with clarity and conviction. Ibrahim was struck by the truth and light in their words, and it wasn’t long before he decided to embrace Islam, taking his shahada with the guidance of the Duat.
When he got to his workplace, Ibrahim informed his boss about his reversion to Islam, which sparked anger not only in his boss but also in his parents who had recommended him for the job.
First, they tried to convince him to turn away from Islam, then they forced him to leave, trying to pressure him into reverting to his former Catholic faith.
Despite the pressure, Ibrahim stood firm in his new faith.
With nowhere to go, he started attending new Muslim classes and spent his nights in the mosque.
When his situation became known to the iERA team, district head took it upon himself to help Ibrahim.
He collaborated with local Muslim leaders, and their efforts bore fruit when the district Islamic Judge agreed to adopt Ibrahim and take him to a new revert center.
Here, Ibrahim could learn about his new faith in a supportive and comfortable environment.
Thanks to the unwavering dedication of iERA Uganda and their outreach specialists, Ibrahim not only found his faith but also a community that embraced and supported him.
Their mission continues to bear fruits, inching closer to the goal of seeing Islam reach every single home.
