A 23-year-old around the lake zone, belongs to the Sukuma tribe and works hard to support his family. He has always believed in Jesus but felt something was missing in his understanding of faith.
One day, an Outreach from iERA approached him, sharing insights about Islam and explaining that Jesus (Isa) is revered in Islam as a prophet and messenger of God, born of the Virgin Mary. Initially hesitant, He expressed his commitment to Jesus but was intrigued by their explanation that accepting Islam didn’t mean rejecting Jesus; rather, it provided a deeper understanding of his role.
As they discussed the teachings, he and his friends were amazed to learn how Islam honours Jesus and clarifies misconceptions about faith. Our outreach shared texts from the Quran, highlighting key concepts of compassion, justice, and belief in one God.
After much reflection, he and his friends felt a strong desire to embrace Islam. They declared their Shahada, affirming their belief in one God and the prophethood of Muhammad. Filled with peace and fulfilment, he found a path that resonated with his search for meaning, and he looked forward to deepening his understanding of Islam.
