Simusuko is a 25 year old University student who has been been bothered about the purpose of life and the reason for so many religions all claiming to be from one Creator.
He particularly is concerned with Islam and this has over the years led him to go rabbit hole in pursuit of the real truth behind the smoke screens of violence covering Islam.
In his quest, he took to search online about the beliefs of Islam and nothing seem to help.
He however had an encounter with the iERA Duat in his locality in Zambia.
He approached the team to learn and get a better understanding of the religion from the direct source of those who are the followers.
The team explained in detail to Simusuko what Islam is truly about using the GORAP methodology and breaking it down as follows.
G: God’s existence
O: Oneness of God
R: Revelation (Prophetic message)
A: Afterlife
P: Prophethood
This structured approach resonated with him, making Islam’s fundamental principles accessible and logical.
The explanation the team gave him dispelled myths and misconceptions, replacing them with facts and evidence.
Over several meetings, Simusuko engaged in thoughtful discussions with the Duat, exploring Islamic teachings and values. The more he learned, the more he felt an inexplicable connection to the faith.
One evening, as Simusuko reflected on his journey, he realized his heart had changed. The negativity he once harbored had given way to understanding and respect.
With the team as his witness, Simusuko proclaimed the Shahadah (declaration of faith): “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”
As Simusuko embraced Islam, his life transformed. He began attending prayer services, studying the Quran and volunteering at local Muslim organizations. The iERA community supported him every step of the way.
Today, Simusuko is a confident, practicing Muslim. His friends and family marvel at the positive change in him. When asked about his journey, Simusuko smiles: “I sought the truth, and Allah guided me. The GORAP method made Islam’s beauty and simplicity shine through. I’m grateful for the mentorship of iERA and its unwavering support.”
Simusuko’s story serves as a testament to the power of seeking knowledge, open-mindedness, and the warmth of the Muslim community.
