Journey🛫 of a Da’ee🕌: From a volunteer to an Outreach Specialist and head of New Muslim🕌🕋 Support in New Zealand

IS LIFE JUST A GAME?🎳
People 🧑‍🤝‍🧑may not understand how important this campaign is.
Therefore, let me tell how impactful this has had on m life.
It is a campaign I hold close to my heart because it was through this campaign that I got exposed to Islamic Education Research Academy (iERA).
Although I was not an Outreach Specialist (O.S), at the time how the Organization operated, I was about to be linked to one of the most important organization on the entire globe.
My first encounter with iERA was when I was linked to a local masjid which was working and collaborating for the ‘Is Life Just A Game?’ campaign in New Zealand.
I and some few colleagues were volunteering for the masjid and the event was executed in the very best way one can imagine.
The campaign was a massive one, we began by meeting at Central Auckland City.
There were lots of brothers present and we engaged in a street dawah activity.
This was going to be a turning point in my life because it was at this campaign that opened my heart to dawah. It further exposed me to experience what dawah entailed.
Although I was nervous in the beginning, it was all joy and excitement at the end.

WHY IS THIS DEAR TO MY HEART?
For me, when I look back today on what happened on that day at Central Auckland, I feel I have come a long way in terms of self-realization and development, it propelled me to move out of my comfort zones and to see the world of others.
A lot of those who were present at the event on that day when the campaign took place might have never experienced what I did because I got the opportunity of a life time to travel and to talk to people and to invite them to Islam meanwhile, those who were present at the Central Auckland have already passed on and I have remained.
Some of these names include Rahimallah and brother Imtiaz, who was the first to have been in my company when I did my first dawah were all part of the ‘Is Life Just A Game?’ campaign. I pray to Allah to have mercy on their souls and grant them Jannatul Firdaus.
Some of those brothers have migrated, a brother like Ali Abbas was my mentor in the street dawah but has moved to Melbourne, Australia and is now with the AIDA dawah team.
‘What’s Your Goal’ is also not to be overlooked because it goes hand in hand with the ‘Is Life Just A Game?’ campaign.
These campaigns have united hearts and forged brotherhoods that are unbreakable and we ask Allah to strengthen such healthy bonds.
These campaigns have further helped to spread the message of Islam to communities in New Zealand.
They make you focus on what you are doing, you become disciplined and in the long run, you become an exemplary person for the community you reside in.
It feels like working in retail, once a month a product is selected to be a special product and you make it a point of selling much of that product.
You can understand that, in the whole month, that product becomes your focal point. You do not give importance to any product like you do to that specially selected one, and because that is your focus, you sell that product much more than you do others.

It’s because the focus was there and similar to the campaign in New Zealand, every single week, all the street Dawahs in New Zealand, we campaigned on distributing free Quran and collectively, we gave out about 60 to 70 Quran every week just through street Dawah.
Now imagine if that focus was dropped and we started doing something else, we may pick on other things but the number of Quran distributed every week would drop.
Therefore, if we universally come along and focus on something, the result universally and collectively is always higher.
To conclude, what I’m highlighting is, because there are going to be games this year, the Euros, and the Olympics, the ‘Is Life Just A Game?’ campaign is a necessity for us to spread the message of Islam to the entire world.
Is Life Just A Game? are we just here to enjoy life without any purpose whatsoever? Are we just going to live without any accountability whatsoever?
The campaign is a life changing one and therefore we all need to embrace it.
