Alhamdulillah, this month our team had a transformative experience at the IFAM Convention! It wasn’t just an event—it was an opportunity for our dawah team to connect, collaborate, and strengthen the foundation for future outreach.
In a beautiful moment of guidance, our neighboring stall was run by a non-Muslim woman from Chile. After a heartfelt GORAP conversation with one of our outreach specialists, she embraced Islam! Allahu Akbar! The blessings of this convention extended far beyond our expectations, reminding us of Allah’s mercy and guidance.
✅ New, Strong Partnerships with Muslim Businesses and Organizations
We established connections with a variety of Muslim businesses and organizations that are passionate about uplifting the community and supporting dawah. These new partnerships bring fresh opportunities and resources, allowing us to work more effectively in our mission to spread the message of Islam across NSW.
✅ Blue Mountains Dawah Day Gets a Boost
In an inspiring encounter, we met a couple who are among the small Muslim population in the Blue Mountains region—just 1 in 7 Muslims residing in this scenic area! They are eager to join hands with us for our upcoming Blue Mountains Dawah Day, promising to bring local support to the initiative.
✅ A Lawyer Steps Forward to Support Our NSW Charity Efforts
One of the highlights was meeting a lawyer who will be assisting us with set up for our NSW charity to support dawah initiatives. This will open doors for broader, more sustainable impact as we grow.
✅ Youth Dawah Training on the Horizon
A group of over 30 dedicated young brothers in Western Sydney, passionate about dawah, expressed their eagerness for proper training. This upcoming training session will empower them with the skills and confidence to share Islam effectively, creating a ripple effect of positive impact within their community.
✅ Support from the Sisters of “House of Sakinah”
Alhamdulillah, we also connected with the wonderful sisters from House of Sakinah, an organization that offers social welfare services to Muslim sisters in crisis across Western Sydney. They’ve pledged to support the revert sisters we meet, ensuring they have a safe and nurturing environment as they begin their journey in Islam. This partnership brings invaluable support and care for sisters navigating their new path.
✅ Expanding the NSW Dawah WhatsApp Community
Our NSW WhatsApp group has grown, creating a stronger network of individuals eager to share ideas, coordinate efforts, and support each other in dawah.
The IFAM Convention has truly been a milestone for dawah in NSW, creating bonds and building momentum that will undoubtedly help us make a greater impact, in sha’ Allah. With each new partnership, training opportunity, and shahada, we’re reminded of the incredible journey we’re on. May Allah accept all our efforts and continue to bless us with the ability to bring the light of Islam to every corner of our community. Ameen.
