Allah says in Sura Imran Chapter 3:11 that You are the best nation raised for humankind. You enjoin righteousness and forbid corruption and you believe in Allah.
He further added in the same Surah Imran chapter 3:110 that Let there arise a group inviting to all that is good, enjoining righteousness and forbidding evil. Those are the successful ones.
In a hadith, the Prophet ﷺ has said that ‘whoever directs someone to do good will gain the same reward as the one who does good’.
‘Whoever calls to guidance will receive the same reward as the one who follows him without any decrease in the reward of the follower.
The importance of spreading the message of Islam has been elaborated in the verses of Qur’an as we can see.
It has been repeated in many places in the Qur’an as if our entire lives depended on it.
Taking it holistically saves us from having to go through life without a defined purpose.
The poet says, “Indeed, Allah has slaves who are wise, they have divorced the world and are scared of its tribulations, they looked into it (the world) and when they realized that it is not a place of habitat, they took good deeds and made it into their ships that will protect them and keep them from drowning.
The poem indicates that when the wise slaves saw that the world is an ocean that could drown them, they made good deeds the ships that will salvage them.
And Rasul ﷺ has made it obvious to that when you direct one to do a good deed, you get the reward for your directions.
All the rewards we gather through our dawah activities could become a sailing ship for us that will save us from drowning in the oceans of this world.
