The situation right now in the Middle East is harrowing. Thousands of our brothers, sisters and children have lost their lives. The events of 7th of October have caused a massive ripple effect across the world.
Hate crimes have risen drastically including islamophobic verbal and physical attacks, one of which led to the death of a young 6 year-old Palestinian boy in the USA. Video footage has also emerged from Dewsbury in the UK, showing a hijabi sister being attacked with a concrete slab, subhan Allah. In London alone, Islamophobia has risen more than 200% since the 7th of October.
“Regrettably, despite the increased presence of officers we have seen a significant increase in hate crime across London,” police said in a statement. “This includes abuse directed at individuals or groups in person or online, racially or religiously motivated criminal damage and other offences.”
A lot of this treatment comes from pure ignorance. People have unanswered questions and turn to the unreliable media for answers and stereotypes.
What is Islam? What does this beautiful religion teach? How should Muslims act when they’re being oppressed? What does the Qur’an teach us?
Here is where iERA come in. Right now, the need for our srvices and expertise is paramount, more than ever. We must continue to spread this wonderful religion to the masses and teach hundreds of thousands of people about Islam. As tens of thousands of people accept Islam, we will slowly but surely see a huge difference in the world.
