Jessica is a former Christian from Honduras who lives in the city of Choluteca, located in the southern part of the country, about 148 km from the capital.
She contacted the iERA team through the website and expressed her desire to learn more about Islam, especially about pure monotheism.
The team had conversations with her for 2 months through the website, until one day she informed them that she was in the capital and wanted to visit the iERA Dawah center.
Jessica wanted to experience spending time with Muslims and to learn more deeply about Islam.
This is how we welcomed her at the Dawah center, so she could be part of a talk about Islam, its foundations, misconceptions, and the figure of Jesus in Islam. After the talk, the sister was moved to tears. She felt that God had touched her heart; she felt that she had finally found her way to God.
Jessica confessed that she had traveled 148 kilometers because she was determined to convert to Islam.
Since giving her Shahada, she has continued to visit the center regularly for her Salat classes, and each day she is becoming more involved in learning activities. This is how a Dawah center in Latin America, a continent where Muslims are a minority, can provide someone with that Islamic experience that serves as the final push they need to finally say La ilaha illa Allah.
