In 2018, iERA launched a significant dawah project in Latin America, with one of its key stops being Honduras. The initiative included an Exhibition on Jesus and training sessions for local du’at, aiming to share the message of Islam with wisdom and compassion.
Among the visitors at the exhibition was Nelson, whose genuine curiosity led him to engage deeply with the message. From that day onward, he showed a strong interest in learning more about Islam. The iERA team provided him with Islamic literature, and he began visiting the Dawah Centre regularly, gradually increasing his understanding of the faith.

When the pandemic struck and the centre was forced to close, the dawah work continued through new methods. The team adapted by using social media and by setting up a system where people could collect Islamic books and Qur’ans from the centre on designated days.
During one of these visits, as our local specialist was preparing the table with Islamic materials, Nelson appeared once again — this time with his young son by his side.
That day, Nelson expressed his heartfelt desire to embrace Islam and took his shahada. It was a deeply emotional and moving moment, a reminder that no obstacle can stand in the way of divine guidance. Even in a time when the world felt distant and uncertain, Nelson’s journey was a testament that Allah guides whom He wills, and no one can mislead those whom He has guided.
