In Ecuador, Luis was searching for something he could not fully explain — only that his heart felt an urgent need to read the Qur’an.
In a sincere moment of supplication, he asked God to grant him a copy. It was not a casual request. It was a heartfelt plea for guidance, for clarity, for truth.
The very next day, while walking through a park, Luis came across the iERA team engaged in dawah. What happened next felt extraordinary to him: they offered him a Qur’an — exactly what he had asked for.

He stayed and spoke with the team at length. The conversation was thoughtful and open, addressing his questions and reflections. Soon after, Luis visited the mosque. He felt a strong desire to pray alongside the brothers and experience the worship he had been learning about.
When he was asked whether he believed in the pillars of faith, his answer came with certainty. In that moment, he knew it was time. He pronounced his shahadah, performed wudhu, and prayed for the first time as a Muslim.
If Luis had to describe in one word what Islam brought into his life, it would be simple: Truth.
Alhamdulillah for every heart that finds its way back to Allah.
