The iERA Brampton Team held a powerful and engaging street dawah session, with numerous sincere conversations taking place throughout the day. One particular encounter stood out as a meaningful exchange on faith, guidance, and the search for truth.
During the session, a member of the team approached a man passing by and invited him to a discussion about belief in God. The man openly shared that he recognized “Allah” as the name of God and had read parts of the Qur’an. Though he identified as Catholic, he admitted he did not accept core Catholic doctrines such as the Trinity or the divinity of Jesus. Instead, he regarded Jesus (peace be upon him) as a prophet of God — aligning more closely with the Islamic understanding.

While the man acknowledged belief in a higher power, his attitude was more casual, expressing that being a good person was what mattered most. He drew inspiration from multiple sources — the Bible, the Qur’an, and even some elements of Buddhism — to shape his moral framework.
The da’ee gently emphasized the significance of anchoring one’s faith in a preserved and divinely revealed scripture. He addressed contradictions found in the Bible and underscored the seriousness of belief in Allah, explaining that sincere guidance must come from a clear and authentic source.
Before parting, the man was gifted a copy of the English translation of the Qur’an and was encouraged to read it with reflection and sincerity, and to ask Allah directly for guidance and understanding.
This conversation serves as a reminder that guidance often begins with a single honest dialogue. We ask Allah to guide the individual, accept the efforts of the Brampton team, and continue to use them as a means for spreading the truth. Ameen.
