Alison Rodríguez (Fátima) – 25 – Chillán, Chile

Alison Rodríguez (Fátima), a young Chilean woman from Chillán, who found in Islam and the Quran a source of peace and direction in her life. Alison’s spiritual search began from a deep need for understanding and connection with something greater than herself, leading her to personally investigate and learn about Islam through contact with Muslim Latinas sisters.

“If life is hard, Islam is the cure; if life is bitter, the Quran is the sweetness,”

“The Quran and Islamic teachings have made me recognize who is the supreme authority. It has positively impacted my actions, behaviors, interpersonal relationships, vision, and goals in society. It has motivated me to find inner peace and improve as a person. It has made me more aware of my actions and consequences, to fear Allah, to be sensitive, and directed me to be fairer, recognize mistakes, and have the necessary humility. It has taught me to be patient and to trust in Allah.”

Amidst so much news about Muslims and so much misinformation, Fátima considers the distribution of the Quran extremely important, “indeed, it is a duty to transmit the message, and to make the unknown known in every corner of the world.”
