The IERA Reporting System continues to evolve, with December’s updates focusing on enhanced data visualization, improved geographic mapping, and crucial tracking of new Muslim retention. We’re also excited to share a preview of the significant upgrades coming soon to the OS Reporting Mobile App.
Continental Admin Dashboard: Now with Quarterly Data Analysis
Following the introduction of graphical dashboards for Continental Admins last month, we’ve now added the highly requested quarterly data representation. This enhancement mirrors the functionality already available for Global Admins, empowering Continental Admins with a more granular view of dawah performance.
A new dropdown menu has been added to allow for seamless switching between yearly and quarterly data views, enabling more precise trend analysis and more effective monitoring of progress within each continent. This update facilitates data-driven decision-making and allows for quicker responses to changing trends.

GeoChart Gets a Zoom Functionality Upgrade
One of the key visual tools in the system is the GeoChart, which displays a world map with countries shaded according to their respective metrics. When a user hovers over an active country, detailed statistics—including Shared Islam With, Shahadahs, and Attendance—are displayed for that specific region..
Users can now zoom in on specific areas of the world map, providing a more detailed view of country-level data within a continent. This enhancement makes it easier to analyze regional trends and identify areas of strength or areas that require additional attention. The zoom functionality enhances the GeoChart’s interactivity and makes it an even more valuable tool for strategic planning.

Tracking Deserters: A Crucial Update for Accurate Reporting
To ensure the accuracy and transparency of our reporting, we’ve introduced a new feature for tracking deserters (new Muslims who have left Islam). This feature allows coordinators to update the status of new Muslims in the system.
Coordinators can now mark a new Muslim as a deserter, with a double confirmation prompt to prevent accidental updates. Once marked, the individual is flagged in all admin accounts, a “Deserter” label appears next to their name in any generated list of new Muslims, and Country Admins can generate specific reports on deserters, including monthly summaries.
Importantly, this feature does not reduce the total shahadah count. Instead, it provides a clear breakdown of retention rates, offering a more realistic and transparent picture of dawah outcomes.

Upcoming Updates for the OS Reporting Mobile App – Version 2 Framework
The OS Reporting Mobile App is about to get a major overhaul! Based on user feedback and system analysis, we’re excited to announce some key improvements planned for Version 2:
- Enhanced Data Synchronization: Moving from on-demand synchronization to background synchronization, the app will now update data even when closed. This will ensure data is always up-to-date and minimize manual syncing efforts. This change will require a minimum Android version of 6 on user’s phone and above.
- Inclusion of Swalaat Photos: Initially, the app only required two photos for a class report: class photo and food photo, now the app will allow for the inclusion of Swalaat (prayer) photos in class reports, mirroring the functionality already available in the online system.
- Reporting Canceled Classes and Door-to-Door Dawah: Initially, the app only required two photos for a class report, with the update OSs will soon be able to report canceled classes and door-to-door dawah sessions directly within the app, improving transparency and streamlining reporting processes.
- Handling Unavailable Food Photos: The app will be updated to allow OSs to skip the food photo requirement when food is unavailable, provided a valid reason is given. This will simplify reporting for situations where food programs are not possible.
These planned updates for the OS Reporting Mobile App aim to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience for Outreach Specialists and coordinators. Version 2 promises a more robust, flexible, and user-friendly mobile reporting platform.
