IERA Reporting System Updates – October 2024: A Leap Forward in Streamlined Dawah Operations

In October 2024, iERA introduced a series of updates to its Reporting System that promise to bring a new level of precision, efficiency, and clarity to the work of coordinators and outreach specialists. These updates come as a response to feedback from the field, targeting the needs of those on the frontlines of dawah activities worldwide.

From new features that capture important moments in New Muslim classes to refined reporting metrics, iERA’s system updates underscore a commitment to continuous improvement and effective engagement. Here’s a closer look at these exciting new features and enhancements.

Capturing Faith in Action: The Swalaat Photo Feature for New Muslim Classes

The act of prayer is a powerful, unifying part of the Muslim faith, and iERA’s new Swalaat Photo Feature highlights this beautifully. Outreach specialists are encouraged to include Asr prayers in their New Muslim classes, offering new Muslims a live demonstration of the practice. Now, coordinators can upload photos of these prayer sessions directly into their daily reports. This feature not only records these significant moments but also allows district heads and higher-level admins to see firsthand the engagement of new Muslims during class. With these photos, the impact of teaching swalaat becomes visible, adding an inspiring, human touch to the reporting process.

Empowering District Heads: The New OS Performance Board

One of the most valuable tools in this update is the OS (Outreach Specialist) Performance Board, now available to district heads. Previously, this detailed performance board was accessible only to country admins, but district heads can now track performance metrics for each team under their supervision. The board offers a rich array of data, from shahadah counts and class numbers to attendance percentages for various groups, such as New Muslims, Non-Muslims, and Old Muslims. Additionally, the board highlights the influence of madrasas and flags classes with unusually high or low shahadah counts, offering a detailed overview of each team’s success. With this board, district heads have the information they need to recognize and support the efforts of their outreach specialists in real time.

A Smoother Class Creation Process: Multi-Stage Workflows

Previously, creating a class in the system was a time-consuming, one-step process. Now, coordinators can breeze through a multi-stage process that guides them through each task, from selecting their team and entering data to uploading swalaat and food photos, ending with final confirmation. The system conveniently redirects users to the next stage after each task, reducing errors and ensuring no step is missed. This streamlined workflow not only saves time but also improves accuracy, making the reporting process more efficient for coordinators across the globe.

A Bird’s Eye View: Enhanced Global Admin Dashboard

For global admins overseeing dawah activities worldwide, the updated Global Admin Dashboard provides a much-needed holistic view. With new visualizations and statistics on shared Islam interactions, shahadah counts, duat reach, and new Muslim attendance, admins can quickly gauge the effectiveness of dawah efforts in each region. The dashboard also offers projections of shahadah counts through the end of the iERA year, categorized by continent and country, enabling admins to plan and strategize with precision. These updates transform data into actionable insights, helping global admins make informed decisions that support outreach efforts around the world.

Accurate Attendance Tracking: Refined Online New Muslim Class Attendance Calculations

A key focus of these updates is attendance accuracy, especially for New Muslim classes. The system now calculates attendance as an average, allowing for a nuanced view of each new Muslim’s participation. This refined method uses a scale from 0 (no attendance) to 1 (full attendance), ensuring that the attendance numbers reflect actual engagement levels. Both online and offline attendance calculations are displayed on monthly scoring boards, offering a comprehensive picture of class participation. This feature allows coordinators and admins to measure and encourage consistent attendance among new Muslims.

Knowledge at Their Fingertips: The Documentation Page for Coordinators

In a move to make key terms and activities more accessible, iERA has introduced a Documentation Page in coordinator accounts. This page provides clear definitions of frequently used terms like “Shared Islam,” “shahadahs,” and “New Muslims,” as well as descriptions of activities like “Mega Mass Dawah,” “Mass Dawah,” “Door-to-Door Dawah,” and “Street Dawah.” Organized in an easy-to-navigate accordion format, this resource gives coordinators the clarity they need to align their reporting with iERA’s terminology, ensuring consistency across reports.

A System Built for Efficiency and Impact

The October 2024 updates to iERA’s Reporting System mark a significant step forward in supporting the organization’s global outreach efforts.

By streamlining reporting, refining data tracking, and providing coordinators with valuable resources, these updates empower teams to focus on what truly matters: delivering meaningful, impactful dawah activities. As iERA continues to refine its tools and systems, the organization remains committed to its mission, ensuring that every effort to spread knowledge and understanding is captured, measured, and celebrated.
