Edris, took his Shahadah with the Luzon Outreach Specialists during their symposium in 2021. However, it wasn’t until 2022 that he began practicing and fully embarked on his journey of faith, embracing Islam wholeheartedly.
Edris’s Path to Islam.
Before Edris found solace in Islam, he found himself lost and adrift, moving from one friend to another, with alcohol as his constant companion. The pandemic, with its isolating effects, played a significant role in guiding him toward Islam. Stranded in Sitio Target, far from home, He had been brought there by a friend in the hopes of finding work, as it was closer to the city. However, it was in these seemingly challenging circumstances that Edris had profound realizations, pondering whether the world might be coming to an end. Fortunately, fate intervened, and he crossed paths with a few of iERA’s senior reverts. These encounters were pivotal moments that would change the course of his life. The conversations with these inspirational individuals inspired him to focus on the good and awakened a deep curiosity about Islam.
