On June 28, the iERA Hamilton team once again brought their weekly Street Da’wah efforts to life on the sidewalks of downtown Hamilton — a place where diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs intersect daily.
Amid the steady flow of pedestrians and curious glances, one meaningful interaction stood out: a Vietnamese Buddhist visitor paused at the da’wah table. With no prior knowledge of Islam, he was genuinely intrigued. A brother from the team engaged him in a thoughtful conversation, introducing him to the foundational concepts of Islamic belief — the Oneness of God, the finality of prophethood, and the purpose of life.
As they spoke, the visitor’s phone rang multiple times. Each time, he glanced at the screen, then shook his head and said, “No, it’s fine. I’m learning.”
His words resonated deeply with the team. They served as a profound reminder: da’wah is not about convincing people with arguments; it’s about reaching open hearts with truth, clarity, and compassion. There are souls out there quietly searching for answers — and sometimes, all it takes is a sincere conversation to plant the seed.
By the end of their exchange, the visitor gratefully accepted a copy of the Qur’an in translation, expressing genuine curiosity to read more and reflect.
May Allah ﷻ guide his heart to Islam and reward the iERA Hamilton team for their tireless dedication to this noble effort.
