The story of Imma Virgie Miranda, a proud member of the indigenous Aeta community from Pampanga, Philippines, is one of profound transformation, faith, and dedication.
In 2021, a mock-up Islamic event was held in her hometown. At the time, Imma had little to no interest in Islam. The concepts seemed distant, and the faith unfamiliar. However, Allah guides whom He wills — and Imma’s path was about to change.
She later enrolled in the 7-Day New Muslim Support Program organized by the Islamic Education and Research Academy (IERA). It was during these seven days of learning, reflection, and open-hearted discussion that Imma began to see the beauty and truth of Islam. Gradually, her curiosity turned into understanding, and her understanding blossomed into a heartfelt conviction. By the end of the program, she had wholeheartedly embraced Islam.
Today, Imma is not just a Muslim by faith — she is a beacon of guidance and hope for others. She has taken on an active role in da’wah, passionately inviting non-Muslims in her community to explore the message of Islam. Her sincerity and dedication have touched many hearts, inspiring numerous individuals — especially fellow reverts from around the world — to support her mission.
Her journey has sparked a growing interest in Islam within her community, and by the will of Allah, efforts are now underway to build a masjid in their area — a testament to her unwavering commitment and the ripple effect of sincere da’wah.
Alhamdulillah, Imma continues to be a steadfast volunteer in Islamic outreach programs. Her transformation from a curious observer to a devout ambassador of the faith is nothing short of inspirational.
