The MIYC International Dawah Retreat began with a beautiful atmosphere of worship, learning, and brotherhood. The opening evening started with Maghrib and Isha prayers, followed by Qur’an recitation and a reminder from Brother Musa Taukiri. The retreat then officially opened with introductions from MIYC, IERA, and the participating groups.
The first day continued with beneficial sessions focused on the responsibility and qualities of those involved in dawah. Brother Imran delivered an introduction to dawah, helping participants reflect on the importance of conveying the message of Islam with sincerity and wisdom. Brother Zubair followed with a practical case study exploring the characteristics of a da’ee and how these qualities can be applied when engaging with others.

Day two continued with the same spirit of learning and connection. Brother Mustafa Farouk delivered a powerful reminder, followed by group activities and sports that gave participants the opportunity to strengthen friendships and build a stronger sense of brotherhood.
One of the highlights of the retreat was the Mana Islam programme. Brothers Mousa Taher and Taufiq Tipene shared their personal journeys to Islam, speaking openly about the experiences that brought them closer to the faith. Their stories provided moments of reflection and inspiration for everyone present.
The retreat was more than a weekend of sessions and activities. It brought together people with a shared commitment to learning, strengthening their faith, supporting one another, and contributing to the work of dawah. Alhamdulillah, it was a meaningful beginning to a weekend filled with knowledge, brotherhood, and inspiration.
