A beautiful farewell: New Muslims uplift the final day of iERA CEO’s Uganda visit

The final stop on Brother Subboor Ahmed’s inspiring visit to Uganda, in his capacity as the Global CEO of iERA, was nothing short of uplifting.

What began as a leadership and assessment tour across various da’wah initiatives culminated in a heartwarming session with the New Muslim Support Class—a fitting and joyful conclusion that perfectly captured the essence of iERA’s mission on the ground.

As Brother Subboor arrived, accompanied by key members of the iERA Uganda team—including Regional Manager for Uganda and Rwanda, Brother Arshad; Uganda Country Manager, Brother Muhammad; and the Operations Officer—they were greeted with heartfelt smiles and thunderous applause.

The new Muslims, full of excitement and gratitude, welcomed their guests with warmth that reflected both their cultural joy and the spiritual transformation they were undergoing.

Brother Subboor, visibly moved by the moment, took the opportunity to express his appreciation—not only for the hospitality of Ugandans but for the perseverance and enthusiasm shown by the new Muslims in their pursuit of knowledge.

With a smile, he praised their joyful spirit and urged them to remain committed to learning and living by the teachings of Islam. His words were filled with encouragement and hope, planting seeds of confidence in those who had recently taken their first steps into the faith.

Brother Muhammad, the Country Manager, followed with a practical and heartfelt message. He emphasized the importance of learning and applying the sunnah—the prophetic traditions—in daily worship. He reminded the group that being a Muslim is not just about belief, but about transformation through understanding, practice, and consistency.

Brother Arshad then addressed the class with a powerful reminder about the importance of remaining steadfast. “Islam,” he said, “is not a temporary phase—it is a lifelong journey.

Hold tight to Allah, and He will never leave you.” His words resonated deeply with the attendees, many of whom face daily challenges as new Muslims navigating unfamiliar terrain.

What made this session especially powerful was its atmosphere. There was no formality—only connection. Laughter, sincerity, curiosity, and genuine love for the religion flowed freely. The New Muslim Support Class demonstrated not only the success of iERA’s post-Shahada care strategy but also the incredible spiritual hunger and resilience of the Ugandan people.

This gathering didn’t just mark the end of Brother Subboor’s visit—it captured the heart of what iERA stands for: real people, real change, and real support. It was a snapshot of a growing, vibrant Muslim community being nurtured with knowledge, care, and a sense of belonging.

As the visit concluded, one thing was clear: Uganda is not only embracing Islam—it’s growing leaders, building believers, and nurturing souls. And iERA is walking that journey alongside them, one heart at a time.
