Our team recently returned to Blackpool for the CDC Community Dawah Challenge, delivering an engaging and interactive Dawah training course for local attendees. The event was full of excitement, with participants actively involved in role plays, discussions, and hands-on exercises designed to teach the principles of Dawah and how to engage with the wider community.
The training focused on key aspects of Dawah: what it is, how a Dawah team operates, and practical methods to approach conversations with non-Muslims. Attendees learned structured approaches, including the GORAP procedure—a framework that one participant has been using effectively for over 15 years in both professional and community settings. The course emphasized clear, compassionate communication, enabling Muslims to counter misconceptions and negative rhetoric with wisdom, kindness, and understanding.

Beyond the classroom, the course is designed to prepare participants for real-world outreach. Teams are supported by infrastructure and development groups, allowing them to organize events, engage in one-to-one discussions, and deliver practical community Dawah challenges. The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many noting how the training strengthened their confidence, communication skills, and ability to represent Islam in everyday interactions.
This initiative highlights the importance of providing Muslims with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to engage with their communities thoughtfully and respectfully. With practical training, role-playing, and structured guidance, the Blackpool course successfully empowered participants to bring the message of Islam to others with clarity, compassion, and authenticity.
For those interested in hosting similar courses or practical Dawah activities in their towns or cities, the team is ready to deliver comprehensive training and community engagement programs, inshaAllah.
