Alḥamdulillāh , today was a truly blessed and transformative day. Brother Feli Bomani embraced Islam by sincerely declaring the Shahada, and with it, opened the door to a new life rooted in faith and submission to Allah (SWT).
The journey began when Brother Feli heard that we were visiting his area. He felt a strong curiosity about Islam, so he came to us with open-hearted questions. This willingness to seek knowledge is itself a sign of Allah’s guidance, for as the Qur’an reminds us, hearts are guided by Allah alone: “Indeed, Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path” (Quran 24:46).
We sat together in a peaceful setting, where he could freely ask his questions and express his thoughts. We spoke to him about Tawḥīd—the oneness of Allah—the foundation of Islam, explaining that Allah is the only deity worthy of worship, and that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is His final messenger. We also discussed the beauty of submitting one’s life to Allah, finding peace in prayer, and living a life guided by divine wisdom.
Throughout the conversation, Brother Feli listened with attention and reflected deeply on the truths being shared. His heart began to open, and he asked insightful questions about Islam’s teachings and practices. By Allah’s mercy, his understanding deepened, and he felt the call of faith within his heart.
Today, with sincerity and conviction, he declared the Shahada: “Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasul Allah”—the testimony of faith that marks the beginning of his journey as a Muslim. This declaration is more than words; it is a commitment to live by the guidance of Allah, seeking His pleasure in all aspects of life.
We thank Allah (SWT) for allowing us to witness this moment of guidance and for granting Brother Feli the clarity and courage to embrace Islam. Truly, guidance is a blessing that only comes from Allah, and we are humbled to have been part of this beautiful chapter in his life.
We pray that Allah strengthens Brother Feli, grants him beneficial knowledge, fills his heart with īmān, surrounds him with righteous companions, and keeps him firm upon the straight path. May his life in Islam be one of peace, purpose, and continuous spiritual growth. Āmīn
