Alhamdulillah, on this blessed journey of da‘wah, Allah سبحانه وتعالى has shown us great mercy by opening hearts to the truth of Islam. Among the many moments that touched us deeply was the inspiring story of Mr. Liwonde, a man whose sincere search for guidance became a source of light not only for himself, but for his entire family.
From the first day, Mr. Liwonde showed genuine interest in understanding Islam. He listened attentively to every explanation, asking questions with humility and sincerity. He was not merely listening to respond, but listening to understand. Each question he raised was answered patiently and clearly, until the message of Islam became fully clear to his heart. Step by step, doubt was removed, and certainty replaced confusion.
When the truth settled in his heart, there was nothing left to hold him back. With full conviction, Mr. Liwonde accepted Islam wholeheartedly. He submitted himself completely—his heart, his mind, his strength, and his entire life—to the will and commands of Allah. His acceptance of Islam was not emotional or rushed, but thoughtful and sincere, rooted in understanding and belief.

What made his journey even more remarkable was how quickly his faith translated into action. His eagerness to practice Islam was evident when, on his own initiative, he came to ask detailed questions about Sawm (fasting). After receiving guidance and understanding the importance and wisdom behind fasting, he did not delay. He began fasting immediately, even though his personal and financial circumstances made it very challenging.
Later, when we asked him how he was coping during fasting, especially at the time of ifṭār, his response was both humbling and inspiring. He explained that there were times when he had very little to break his fast—sometimes only pears or a small amount of simple food that was difficult to obtain. Despite this hardship, he never complained. Instead, he expressed gratitude and patience, trusting that Allah sees every sacrifice made for His sake.
This struggle revealed the depth of his iman. His fasting was not supported by comfort or abundance, but by sincerity, patience, and complete reliance upon Allah. His story became a living example that true faith is proven during difficulty, not ease.
Today, Allah rewarded his sincerity with even greater blessings. Mr. Liwonde returned to us with joyful news that filled our hearts with happiness. Through his gentle encouragement, good character, and sincere concern, he guided his wife toward Islam—and Alhamdulillah, she also accepted the truth. Not stopping there, he expressed a strong determination to continue inviting and guiding his entire family to Islam, hoping that they may all walk together on the straight path.
This story reminds us that guidance begins with one sincere heart. When faith is genuine, it spreads naturally—through patience, good character, and trust in Allah. Mr. Liwonde’s journey teaches us that Islam is not just words spoken, but sacrifices made, struggles endured, and faith lived daily.
We humbly ask Allah to strengthen their iman, expand their rizq, ease their hardships, and make their home a place of faith, peace, and obedience. May Allah accept their fasting, reward their patience, and grant them steadfastness in this world and success in the Hereafter.
Alhamdulillah for the guidance of Allah, and all praise belongs to Him alone.
