One Visit, Four Shahadahs

One day, an outreach specialist began his usual door-to-door dawah activity, visiting families in the community to introduce them to Islam. During his outreach, he arrived at the Banda family’s home, where he found a mother and her three daughters sitting outside their house, relaxing together. He approached them politely, greeted them warmly, and introduced himself as an outreach specialist who was visiting households to teach people about Islam. The women welcomed him, and before he could begin explaining, they asked him why Muslims pray every day and dedicate time to worship.

The outreach specialist patiently explained that Allah created human beings with a purpose: to worship Him alone without associating partners with Him. He also explained that Allah sent prophets to guide people and remind them of their purpose in life. He supported his explanation with a verse from the Qur’an, Surah Adh-Dhariyat (51:56), which teaches that Allah created jinn and humankind to worship Him. The mother and her three daughters listened attentively and became increasingly interested in his explanation.

As the conversation continued, the women expressed their admiration for Islam. They explained that they appreciated the good character of Muslims and the kindness they had witnessed, especially the way Muslims helped people in need. Seeing their interest, the outreach specialist gently asked them, “If you love Islam and appreciate its teachings, what is stopping you from embracing it?” The mother sincerely responded that nothing was stopping them from following the way of Allah and that they were ready to become Muslims.

With open hearts and a willingness to accept the message of Islam, the mother and her three daughters took their Shahadah, declaring their faith in Allah and embracing Islam.
