Amina was born in 1924 in the lush hills of Bugesera, Rwanda. Throughout her long life, she carried a deep-seated desire for spiritual truth, always seeking a faith that resonated with her heart. As the years passed, Amina watched as the world around her changed, yet her search for meaning remained constant.Last month, everything shifted when the iERA Outreach Specialists visited Bugesera. They spoke passionately about Islam using GORAP Methodology, explained to her the true God to be worshiped, his Messenger Muhammad PBUH, and how Islam is a religion of peace. Amina listened intently, her heart stirring with a sense of hope and belonging.
For the first time, the teachings resonated deeply with her long-held beliefs and values.After weeks of thoughtful consideration, Amina made the significant decision to embrace Islam.Every day, Amina walks five kilometers to the masjid, a journey that others might find daunting at her age. But for her, it was a pilgrimage of the heart. She eagerly attends the New Muslim class, soaking in the lessons about the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.As the weeks turned into months.
Amina found a new purpose in her life. She became an inspiration to many, proving that age was no barrier to faith and learning.Amina’s days were now filled with prayer, community, and the joy of learning. She often reflected on her long journey, grateful for the moment she finally found her truth. In the heart of Bugesera, Amina blossomed, a beacon of hope and faith for all who knew her.
