At first glance, one would never believe that an elderly man had been suffering from a long term illness. His face carried a smile of hope, his eyes radiated life, and his words overflowed with wisdom and patience. Outwardly, he seemed strong, but within, he had endured a long journey of trials and pain.
This was the reality for the iERA team when they arrived at his home. After a short journey, they reached his doorstep. The moment they knocked, Elder Yohana welcomed them warmly, his voice filled with joy, as if he had not been bedridden for three years.

Their conversation began with calmness and respect. As the message of Islam was shared, he listened attentively, every word touching his heart. His eyes grew still, his face softened, and a brief silence filled the room. Then, with conviction, he said, “I am very happy to hear this message of Islam. With all my heart, I accept Islam.” He recited the Shahada, tears quietly streaming down his face—tears of joy, hope, and a new beginning.
Afterward, with great humility, he requested, “Please pray for me to be healed. I have been unable to walk for three years, paralyzed on one side of my body.” His words deeply moved everyone present, a heartfelt prayer not only for health but for closeness to Allah and mercy.
Dear friends, let us remember Elder Yohana in our prayers. Allah is the ultimate Healer, and with Him, nothing is impossible.
